The University of Oklahoma brings its students the excitement of the state fair with free fried food and friendly faces.
The Union Programming Board’s annual Sooner Fried event will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on September 5 in the food court of the Oklahoma Memorial Union.
University students will be able to enjoy fried chicken, fried pickles, fried okra, fried cookie dough and fried pies. There will be games, prizes, and a raffle for tickets to the Oklahoma State Fair.
“All food and drinks are being provided through Union Catering,” said Union Programming Board Logistics Director Brooke Wade. Because of this, all students may attend the event for free with a valid student ID.
