A Norman university airport will be hosting its 8th Annual Aviation Festival free and open to the public this Saturday.
A Norman university airport will be hosting its 8th Annual Aviation Festival free and open to the public this Saturday.
This year, the festival will include an open house at the airport and also several static aircraft displays. The airport’s control tower will be providing tours along with meet-and-greets with Boomer and the Sooner Schooner from OU with activities for children as well.
The festival will start at 9:00 a.m. on October 25 at the University
of Oklahoma’s Max Westheimer Airport and continue until 4:00 p.m.
Festival displays for this year will include the OU Police Department along with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Several different news helicopters from Oklahoma City, as well as the Norman Police Department, will be in attendance.
In previous years the festival has included vintage military
aircraft that are seen during flyovers at OU football games.
The event is sponsored by the OU Department of Aviation located
at the Max Westheimer Airport in Norman.
